The Freshman Package includes a one-hour consultation in which Best Foot Forward (BFF) will interview the student and parents to assess the student’s goals, needs and interests with regard to college expectations. BFF will then evaluate the student’s academic and extracurricular activities and create a one-year strategic plan in line with the student’s college aspirations.
SOPHOMORE YEAR: BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

- Preparing for the PSAT, SAT and ACT
- Choosing the right camps, tournaments and showcases to display your talent
- Writing the athletic resume
Sophomore Package ($400)
The Sophomore Package includes up to two hours of consultation in which BFF will interview the student and parents to assess the student’s goals, needs and interests with regard to college expectations. BFF will then evaluate the student’s academic and extracurricular activities and create a one-year strategic plan, looking ahead to the PSAT and preparing for junior year.
JUNIOR YEAR: PUTTING THE PIECES IN PLACE
- Selecting academic courses
- Continuing SAT and/or ACT preparation
- Formulating a college list
- Contacting coaches: drafting a cover letter and athletic resume
- Videotaping (when necessary) for college coaches
- Reviewing NCAA Clearinghouse regulations
- Beginning the scholarship search
- Finding rewarding summer opportunities
Junior Basic Package ($600)
The Junior Basic Package includes up to three hours of research and consultation in person, by phone or by email. BFF will review the student’s academic and extracurricular record and develop a one-year strategy that will include schedules for standardized testing and college visits as well as a preliminary list of colleges and opportunities for summer experiences. This package is for those students who do not wish to be recruited athletes.
Junior Athlete Package ($800)
The Junior Athlete Package includes up to four hours of research and consultation in person, by phone or by email. After reviewing the student’s academic and extracurricular record, BFF will create a one-year strategy in keeping with the student’s athletic goals and college expectations. Having outlined the college recruiting process and explained the role that athletic skill will play in college admissions, BFF will then work with the student to create a schedule for standardized testing, formulate a preliminary college list, develop the student’s resume, write letters of interest to college coaches and suggest opportunities for summer camps, tournaments and showcases.
SENIOR YEAR: REALIZING THE GOAL

- Choosing the right college for your goals and interests
Senior Basic Package ($800)
The Senior Basic Package includes up to four hours of research and consultation in person, by phone or by email. BFF will help to create a college list, brainstorm and edit college essays, prepare applications (including supplemental materials) for the admissions committee and counsel on the application process. This package is for those students who do not wish to be recruited athletes.
Senior Comprehensive Package ($1200)
The Senior Comprehensive Package includes up to six hours of research and consultation in person, by phone or by email. BFF will review the student’s academic and extracurricular history and discuss educational, career and personal objectives. During the initial consultation, BFF will assess the student’s athletic goals with respect to college expectations and explain the role that athletic skill will play in the college admissions process. We will then assist in developing an athletic resume, brainstorming and editing college essays, and pulling together the application materials for the college admissions committee. Later meetings will focus on navigating the recruiting process: talking to coaches, planning official visits, and narrowing the list of college choices.
Senior Application and Essay Assistance ($125/hour)
This option is available for all high school students – boys and girls – and includes editing and consultation in person, by phone or by email. In addition to facilitating the brainstorming process, BFF will help the student to edit college essays for theme, content, style, tone, diction, spelling, grammar, punctuation and length.
Packages terminate on June 15th of the current school year. All packages are payable in full, in advance. If you require more time than what a particular package provides, additional assistance is $125 per hour. Best Foot Forward does not guarantee admission to any college or university.
